HOLTEK New BH67F5255 24-bit A/D Flash MCU with LCD DriverHoltek is delighted to announce the release of a new addition to its 24-bit A/D Flash MCU with LCD Driver range, the BH67F5255. This new device which includes a 24-bit A/D converter, two operational amplifiers, an LDO and a PGA circuit, is able to support products which require high accuracy sensor measurements. In having a high level of functional integration, products require a reduced number of external components resulting in lower product costs. The device is very suitable for use in high accuracy measurement applications which have an LCD display requirement, such as ear thermometers, forehead thermometers, electronic scales, precision instruments, etc.

With regards to system resources, the device includes a Flash Program Memory capacity of 8K×16, a Data Memory capacity of 512×8 and an EEPROM Memory capacity of 512×8. It also includes a range of external serial interfaces to allow an easy method of data communication. These interfaces include I²C, SPI and UART types. For the display features, a dedicated hardware LCD driver is provided which has a voltage regulator and a boost circuit to provide a constant LCD illumination level. The I/O ports can be used to directly drive LEDs for display purposes and also have a software adjustable brightness function. The device also includes an In Application Programming function which offers users a convenient means to easily update their application programs. In addition, the integrated EEPROM Memory can be used to store any required automatic adjustment product parameters as well as calibration parameters thus simplifying development and production.

The device is supplied in a 48 LQFP package type. Regarding product development, Holtek has professional teams to provide technical support. Together with an efficient C language compiling environment, an e-Link, an e-Writer and other convenient development tools, these resources combine to offer customers a means of rapid application development.
