May 6, 2002
The
HT48C05, is one of Holtek's new generation of I/O series general purpose
microcontrollers. With 0.5K of internal program mask memory, the device is fully pin-compatible with its related OTP sister device, the HT48R05A-1. This new device contains all the features of its OTP counterpart including its excellent noise immunity capability, however offers the additional advantage of being able to operate at lower supply voltages.
Overall the HT48C05, in addition to full functional compatibility between its mask and OTP versions, also offers the advantages of lower costs, as well as several enhanced features. Regarding packaging, the device is available in both 16 pin SSOP and 18 pin DIP/SOP versions.
Concerning the OTP versions, as mentioned earlier, the
HT48R05A-1 is available, to offer the user the convenience, during the design stage, of easy and quick program updates as well as a means of producing both low and high volume production, to meet the demands of changing market needs.
To complement the devices, Holtek has developed a comprehensive development system, known as the HT-IDE2000. Full of hardware features such as real time simulation, complete breakpoint and trace facilities, as well as register monitoring functions etc. the system provides all the tools necessary to ensure new product development and debug is implemented in the fastest time possible.
