Holtek microcontroller u-plan completes its first stage
April 26, 2000
The
successful release of the HT48R05A-1,
HT48R06A-1 and HT48RA0A
OTP (one time programmable) microcontroller devices sees the
completion of the first stage of Holtek's microcontroller
u-plan. The devices were officially launched at a new product
release seminar in Taipei, Taiwan on 12th April. Among these OTP
microcontrollers, the HT48R05A-1
and the HT48R06A-1 belong
in the I/O category while the third, the HT48RA0A,
sits in the remote control microcontroller device category.
The microcontroller u-plan was
implemented by Holtek to strengthen the comprehensiveness of the
microcontroller product line development plan. Within the
u-plan, by using a more advanced process, in addition to the
development of microcontrollers that will be fully compatible
with Holtek's presently available devices, Holtek plans to
develop a range of special application devices. These devices
will incorporate the features of high and low operational
voltages. In addition, the higher specification offered by the
device's high noise immunity capabilities, place them above the
average microcontroller device in the related industry.
Within the microcontroller u-plan is the
intended release of a range of new devices including new
microcontrollers for I/O applications, LCDs, A/D, sensor,
battery charger, home appliances, remote control etc, all
specifically developed for an extensive range of different
application areas and including different memory capacities. The
Holtek u-plan microcontrollers, with their high functionality
and high quality in addition to the advantages of highly
competitive pricing levels, will in the OTP market area, supply
a complete and fast methodology for microcontroller solutions.
In its implementation, the Holtek microcontroller u-plan will
therefore lay the foundation for the future development of
Holtek's new generation of embedded microcontroller product
offerings.
