Holtek New Product Release - HT95R22 I/O Type Phone MCU

The HT95R22 is a new addition to Holtek’s range of telephone 8-bit MCUs. The device features include 4Kx16 of Program Memory, 576 bytes of RAM Data Memory, 20 I/O pins, an 8-level stack, two 16-bit timers, RTC Timer and an external interrupt function. The device is packaged in a 28-pin SOP package. Additional features are an internal Programmable Frequency Divider, PFD, which can generate a range of fixed frequencies and if used in conjunction with suitable audio generators, can generate a range of audio sounds in addition to being suitable for use in infrared carrier signal generation.


The HT95R22 also includes an internal DTMF generator function which is suitable for use in related telecommunication products such as multi-function telephones, cordless phones, answering machines, household burglar alarms etc. Present burglar alarm products are seeing increasing widespread use and if such products use this device, they can be used to easily implement auto-dialing functions. All of these features add up to provide the user with a product with a superior function/price ratio for a wide range of telecommunication products.


The HT95R22 special characteristics lie in its high level of integration, low cost, low power and high efficiency. In possessing all the high noise immunity features of the other Holtek 8-bit MCUs and also with its Watchdog Timer function the device has strengthened ability to guard against erroneous operation. Holtek also provides a full suite of hardware and software development tools in the way of its HT-IDE3000 development system. With a host of features such as real time emulation, memory and register access, hardware breakpoints with logical setups, trace facilities etc. as well as many other functions, ensures that designers have a full set of tools to get their products designed and debugged as efficiently as possible.
